The Sims has become one of the most successful games of the 21st century. The players was given control over the virtual Sims and allowed player to customize his or her Sims, house and lifestyle the Sims lived in. it was one of the most popular game ever soled and around six million copies had been sold worldwide. Making it one of the best selling computer games in history.

Wolfenstein this is the game that started it all. It cemented the type of game that really develops into the first person shooter. Wolfenstein and DOOM set the template for the first person shooter such as battlefield, call of duty and halo. And now the Wolfstein franchise it well known and established game that will all ways be set the standard for the first person shooter. 

Blizzard Entertainment-The world of war craft

The world of war craft has been one of the most successful and largest games ever published. It is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (mmorpg) created by Blizzard Entertainment. The game gives the player to play as different characters and sets it on a online server. It was one of those games that didn't stop, once you logged off, The game keeps on going. It was a way of communication all around the world and where people meet up to play the game and complete the quests. And with 7.1 million subscribers The world of war craft is now the world's most subscribed game (mmorpg), and also holds the Guinness world record for the most popular mmorpg by subscribers. And having made over 10 billion in 2012 it has been the highest grossed game of all time. in 2014 it has been announced that more than 100 million game accounts has been made over the life time if the game history. And that is why the game has and will all way's be one of the most popular and unique game out there.

1978 Taito Space Invaders

Space Invaders is the most significant video game of all time. It set the standard of what video games should be in that time. The game was so popular in Japan that it caused a Yen shortage, creating the demand for more coins to be made. Having caused the entire country to run out of coins it definitely makes it self to be one of the corner stones in the video-game empire.

1981 Nintendo Donkey Kong

Donkey Kong is a celebrated arcade platform game. It introduced a number of completely innovative game-play ideas to the platform type. It was to be the first game ever to attribute numerous playing fields. It was one of the first games that allowed players to jump over objects. And because of this, its popularity grew and allowed this arcade platform to open up to the Mario and Donkey Kong universe that we all know and love today.

1987 Shigeru Miyamoto Legend of Zelda 

The Legend of Zelda is one of the most iconic games that Nintendo has ever released.  It is an action adventure video game, which had a mixture of, puzzles solving, role-playing and adventure. The Legend of Zelda was one of the first games to have a series that followed after the first release. Zelda was a game that required the players to think about what their next strategy would be. This also allowed players to communicate with each other and share their ideas to find the different secrets hidden in the game. This became a new way of game communication. And this laid the foundation for today’s games that communicate through gamming wherever they might be playing “battlefield” or “Portal 2”.  This way of communication really changed the way games where made and how gamming communities started. And that is why The Legend of Zelda is significance and will remain one of the corner stones of gamming development and communication
